Creative Community | Online | 8 Week Course

Course Overview

A series of weekly online sessions to help you connect with your creative self, and with other people.

Course leader is visual artist Anna Shiels

What to Expect

Join us on zoom with your art materials from the comfort of your own home. Each week we will share a creative technique or prompt to inspire you, get your imagination flowing, and to help you get started with making art.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, or a more experienced artist,  this supportive and welcoming group will support you to explore art-making at your own pace and in your own way.

What You’ll Achieve

Connect with others when you join our online creative community. Be inspired by simple creative techniques that will help you get started in making art. It’s your weekly creative top-up!

When, Where & What to Bring

You will need a laptop or I-pad / tablet to join the sessions. You will be sent a zoom link to join each week.

You only need basic materials to get started in making art - a pencil and plain paper is a good place to start. You can add in coloured pencils, pens or watercolours as you build confidence and find out what you enjoy.

•          Every Wednesday (with a week off on 28th October)

•          Online

Support

CoCreate sessions are designed to be safe and supportive spaces, that allow you the freedom to do your best work. Our courses are suitable for all levels of experience, and we welcome complete beginners.

When you sign up you’ll be asked if there’s anything you might need access support with, this could include physical access (lifts, wheel chair access, etc) or other things like help with writing, large print, or more time to process information. We’ll send a reminder email, with a link to join the session, to everyone.

You don’t have to tell us anything you don’t want to share, and we’re always happy to talk about how we can support you at any point in the course.

“It's a set time to lose your worrying thoughts and do something mindful just for yourself.

I love to listen to the chatter and to see what people have produced at the end of the session.  Although I cannot get out in the country to paint, it's easy enough to get some good photos online and have a go.”
