Poverty Truth Commission: Creative Co-Production for BCP
In 2025, CoCreate partnered with the second Poverty Truth Commission for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, supporting Community Commissioners to develop creative ideas and build confidence ahead of their Commission Launch event, attended by almost 100 people.
Working through a genuinely co-created process, we explored art-making and arts activism with people with lived experience of poverty, creating spoken word, short performances and visual interventions to share with civic leaders, friends and community stakeholders. The process strengthened connection, confidence and supported participants on their Poverty Truth Commission journey.
